The Ant and the Parrot

Not so long ago, an ant was wandering across vast plains in search for food. As they day progressed, the suns rays shone bright and hot and as a result, he got hungry, tired and thirsty. Soon he came upon the banks of a mighty river. The ant thought, "God is great" and happily, quenched his thirst at the river. Unfortunately a great wave crashed on to him and dragged him into the water. The ant didn't know how to swim. While trying to stay afloat, he shouted, "somebody help.... "

A parrot was sitting on a nearby tree branch and watching. (Parrots have like - binocular vision and can see stuff at distance, u see...) She was a good bird-being and wanted to help. The kind parrot, plucked a leaf from the branch she was sitting on and dropped it into the river.
Meanwhile, the drowning ant, while gasping for air, sees the parrot drop the leaf. The leaf lands close to the ant on the surface of the river. With much effort, the ant drags himself onto the leaf and is saved. Slowly the leaf docks near the bank and the ant sets foot on solid ground. Relieved and thankful, he looks up at the tree towards the god like figure who came to his rescue. As he tried to spot the parrot, a giant foot lands close to him. The foot was of a bird catcher trying to catch beautiful birds and selling them in the market. As our ant looks up, he sees the bird catcher aim his sling at the  parrot who saved his life. The ant could see that the parrot had not seen the bird catcher. The ant had to save her. So he quickly climbs on the man's shoes, crawls under his jeans and gives the biggest bite he could give, on the bird catcher's legs. Shocked and in pain, the bird catcher jumps. In the pain, he drops the sling and it falls to the ground.

The parrot was sitting on the branch, content with the days work, (that of saving the ant's life), when she hears a loud sound. She looked down to find the bird catcher limping with pain. Immediately, she realizes that the sound came from his sling hitting the ground and she flies away sensing danger. The ant climbs down the bird catchers leg and walks away with a big smile on his face.

Moral - One good turn begets another.
